The department of Employment and Labour in Limpopo has deported a number of undocumented foreign nationals who were found working on the Polokwane Hospital site. Speaking to Nghamula Chauke, the department's Principal Inspector for Occupational Health and Safety Bumani Maswanganye said what is concerning as well is that some subcontractors are allegedly violating labour laws that include failing to provide adequate personal protective equipment, paying below the prescribed minimum wage and failing to issue employment contracts and payslips.
